TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL:

"GREAT AND WINNING ATTITUDE.. Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches. Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency. For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning. Psms 73:12-14 …looking around you and seeing how the ungodly seem to prosper by their meanness….how nasty attitude or jerks seems to have the edge …everybody seems to want the bad guys or the yo-yo girls….how some who don’t pay tithe seem to get the good jobs…they do not serve the lord but seem to get the good man or woman to marry….and the question arises within you….what good is it?...what is the point of being a “ nice guy” or "good girl" ?… what is the use of honesty, humility, submission, service, and so on?....... Such was the case of Asaph, the great temple singer in psalms 73….I have cleansed my heart in vain….all I get for it is chastisement every morning….so he thought and said. Yes.. .. many of us can relate to this. What a slippery slope!! Thank God Asaph realized quickly and got himself out of that dark valley of envying the foolish. …..But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked Psms 73:2-3 ….When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. …vs 16-17 But thanks be to God for such characters like Joseph. Has it not ceased to amazed you how very hard and harsh situations could not change his godly nature ? ..Check him out here in prison. ….And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it. The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper…Gen. 39:22-23 Wow!!! That was Joseph in prison… Still as faithful as he was in Potiphar’s house…Don’t forget that it was faithfulness in Potiphar’s house that took him down to the prison. What would you have done?....complain. grumble. backslide, blame or what? …But Joseph remained Joseph….A man endowed with great and positive attitude. Beloved, learn to be a master of your situations. Never allow whatever you are going through go through you..never let it change or redefined you. Just as much as afflictions and difficult times can corrupt or erode godly characters, so can good conditions, positions, titles, and blessings induce bad behaviors. Friend, you are first a child of God, secondly a child of God and then lastly a child of God. In difficult times, never look down on yourself or others and in good or beautiful seasons, never stop looking up. Joseph came out on top and so will you. Your godly nature in Christ is your number one asset in this world. May you receive grace to be steady in godly character in Christ Jesus name.
