DEC 9 DEVOTIONALS

.REFUSE TO BE DISTRACTED.....

Every winning believer has learned how to avoid distractions while maintaining consistency And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art com e down that thou mightest see the battle. And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause? And he turned from him toward another,…………. 1Sam. 17:28-30 Distraction has always been a very subtle tool of the enemy to steal our focus or to side track us from paying attention to the main thing. Many homes are in jeopardy because the husband and the wife fight over small things. It has always taken little foxes to spoil the vine. Churches are divided daily over trivial issues while the kingdom assignment and vision lags terribly. If only believers will know what to overlook and avoid on their path to destiny. Sometimes what you have to do is just let go, so you can move on. David has just come by an opportunity to fulfill divine destiny. He has just been motivated by an excellent reward. He is seeing a vision and the task ahead of him. Can you imagine who would have stopped him? It was his own brother who came down angrily on him and said, “……you have no business here……..your motive is not right………….you are too small for the task here……..you belong somewhere else……” Don’t be surprised if people around you put you down because they focus on your limitations. But David would not be deterred. And because he understood the purpose he turned away from his brother. Beloved you need to differentiate a brother from the enemy. Love will always win, is never easily offended, not issue-prone, it easily let go and cannot be tied down. Many times in life we react and respond to things that we should just let go and get bogged down with them while destiny is waiting. Beloved we have a bigger task in the kingdom than to be tied down by doctrinal issues and wasting time responding to minor issues. Keep your focus on your calling and your destiny. You can choose not to respond to attack from within or without. May you be divinely enabled and graced to live in peace at all times, in all situations in Christ Jesus Name.
